Frequently asked questions about the LeviFix spacer
Does the LeviFix spacer fit CD60 profiles?+
Yes. The spacer is made for the standard CD profile 60/27 — the profile used to build suspended ceilings. The end caps grip over the profile and hold firmly with four magnets.
Why is no profile included as standard?+
Because you don't need one. The connecting piece is an ordinary CD60 profile that is on every job site — cut it to centre spacing minus 2 cm, push on the caps, done. We only make the end caps, and that is exactly why the spacer costs a fraction of fixed-length systems.
Don't want to cut it yourself? Choose the with profile version (400 or 500 mm) — the pre-cut, pre-drilled profile is included.
How do I set a different centre spacing?+
Via the length of the CD profile between the caps. The rule is always: profile length = centre spacing minus 2 cm.
- 400 mm → 38 cm
- 500 mm → 48 cm
- 600 mm → 58 cm
Cut the profile with an angle grinder, push on the end caps, tighten the screws once — done. No special tools needed.
What is included in the package?+
Per spacer: two end caps with pre-fitted magnets and four screws.
The with profile versions also include a CD60 profile, cut to length and drilled for 400 or 500 mm centre spacing.
Why is it cheaper than comparable systems?+
Because we don't make the whole body, only the two end caps. The rest is done by a piece of CD profile that is on every job site anyway. That saves material, weight and shipping — and we pass that advantage on to you. Comparable systems cost up to €63 each.
How strong are the magnets?+
Each spacer contains four neodymium magnets with 11 kg of holding force each — 44 kg in total. They are screwed in, not glued, so they don't come loose. The spacer stays firmly on the profile, even overhead and even when you pull and push while aligning.
Can I use it together with the LeviFix levelling system?+
That is exactly what it is made for. The levelling system holds the height, the spacer holds the distance — together you can build the complete substructure on your own, without a helper and without re-measuring.
How fast is delivery?+
We ship within 1–2 working days from Germany — within Germany with DHL, across Europe with DPD. Abroad you usually receive your order 3–7 working days after ordering. The tracking number arrives automatically by email.
